Paul Beardow was born in 1972, and was raised in Sheffield, England, a place he likes just enough to deter him from the hassle of moving. He survived school with numerous never-to-be-used GCSE's as he waded through numerous IT jobs until he found a job that would tolerate him in the music management industry. Surprisingly, they are still tolerating him twenty years later, as is his family, including two daughters which are suspiciously prettier than he is. He has published short stories, and worked for several small magazines, but Portmanteau is his first published novel. He is currently working on the sequel, to be published in the Winter of 2016.
